James is a Chartered Town Planner having graduated University with a First Class Honours Degree in Planning, Environment and Development and completed his Masters in Planning Built and Natural Environment at Birmingham City University in 2017. James joined the practice in 2016 following 18 months working at a Local Planning Authority so has an excellent grounding in development management. He has an in depth knowledge of permitted development and provides clear, succinct advice to our clients on how best to navigate through the increasingly complex planning system. James can advise clients on residential and commercial development in both an urban and rural context and has a proven track record in securing planning permissions on challenging sites. James is married and is father to a very lovely young daughter. He has keen interest in health and fitness and, as a former boxer and life-long West Brom fan, James is as happy talking sport as he is planning.
